This night we camped at a beach about half an hour north of Bicheno. We ate fish and chips in town and befriended the local gang of seagulls  before driving back to the campsite around dusk. The light was amazing at this time of day and the landscape felt so still as we drove slowly along the winding road. I always regret not being able to capture the different colours and changing landscape as I am driving in the country. I always find myself coming up with ideas and musing over different scenes as I am driving yet they inevitably become passing thoughts as there is no way to capture them with my hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road.

Luckily Georgia was taking photos from the car and I have a little bit of a visual reminder of the time...
