I went to Mt Field National Park and drove up to
Lake Dobson in the alpine area of the park. It had been pretty sunny in Hobart
but up here I watched as mist quickly swept over the lake. It was so peaceful just listening to the wind and watching as a scene would disappear or
reappear from a cloud of white. I walked around a little and tried to record
some of the scenes with my camera.
A blog by Jennifer Rooke documenting her residency and travels in Tasmania, 2014. For two weeks she will live and work at Kings Bridge Cottage in Cataract Gorge, exploring and recording the surrounding environment to produce a body of work which records her personal experience of being alone in the landscape.
